+ What is Pilates?

Pilates is a physical system which was created by German anatomist Joseph Pilates in the early 20th Century. Through a series of precise, controlled movements it targets all muscle groups in the body whilst working on posture, functionality and flexibility.

It’s also one of the ultimate mindful training practices, aiding stress and anxiety relief through focus on the breathing which is one of the key principles of Pilates.

+ What should I know before doing a class?

Pilates is suitable for anyone over the age of 16. We ask that you to arrive early for your first class so the instructor can familiarise you with the machine. All of our classes are mixed level, but we would suggest doing one private session before jumping straight into group classes.

Our studio is equipped with two changing rooms and one toilet. Showers are not provided.

+ Do you have lockers?

We have seven lockers in the studio in which you can store your personal possessions securely for the duration of your class.

Please visit our schedule page to login/register. You can then purchase class credits and book into classes. For pricing see our buy page.

+ How does your waitlist work?

When a class is full, you can add yourself onto the waitlist. If a space becomes available will recieve an email informing you a space is now free. Then login as normal and book yourself into the class.

+ What do I wear?

We suggest you use grippy socks on the reformers. These will help you position your feet for certain exercises. While grippy socks aren’t compulsory for hygiene reasons we ask that you please wear socks during class.

Wear clean soft and stretchy clothing so you can move freely. And please avoid wearing clothing with exposed zips as they can damage the machinery.

+ How long are the classes?

All of our classes are 50 minutes long. We always try to finish promptly and fit in some stretching. We ask that when possible you stay for the duration of the class.

+ Do you provide water?

We have filtered water on tap and sell water at reception.
